ABOUT US

Mission

We aim to create unique theatre and performance opportunities that are otherwise unavailable for local performance artists.

Northwest Arkansas is rich with talented actors, singers, technicians, and storytellers who want to contribute to the artistic landscape of the community. Creating inclusive opportunities for creative expression and quality entertainment improves the quality of life in our community.

Our members vote on our programming, catering our shows not only to the audience members but to the performers themselves.

Our Story

Theatre Collective of Northwest Arkansas began at a party - like so many things. In December 2022, several local theatre artists and community members gathered to share snacks, exchange gifts, and discuss how to create more performance opportunities for themselves, each other, and other amateur artists in the area. A common focus united the group: creating theatre in a collaborative and open environment.

TCNWA works to carve out a niche in the rich artistic community of Northwest Arkansas by embracing amateur talent and encouraging members to be part of the decision-making process for the organization.

TCNWA introduced itself to the Northwest Arkansas community on May 7 as part of TheatreSquared’s Sunday Night Social series with its original musical revue production: Collected.

Five Leading Ladies

After the first meeting of TCNWA, five ladies volunteered their time, energy, and creative talents to lead the organization in its growth from an idea to an active and established community theatre.
